Hope you all had a fab Christmas and New Years!
Recently I've been watching 'what I got for Christmas' videos from basically every Youtuber, so thought I would do my own in written form.
This Christmas was a great one for me as I was able to see my family all together, got spoiled by everyone and everyone seemed to like the presents I got for them! Earlier this year I was fretting about the finances of my MSc course so had basically finished Christmas shopping by October as I assumed I'd be skint by December.
Here's a few photos from the Christmas period, some of my Christmas presents and some anecdotes...
On Christmas mornings when me and my brother Jack were young, our parents made us wait at the top of the stairs for them to sort downstairs out (mainly my mother having a cuppa and finding the camera). My dad would wind us up by looking in at the living room at our presents, which we couldn't see, then he made a ridiculous surprised face at us. We still have a photo every year at the top of the stairs and send it to my dad. This is the reply we got this year...
When we were allowed to eventually go downstairs we had assigned sofas with a sack of presents placed in front - mine was to the right and Jack's was to the left. We still stick with the same routine even at ages 24 and 21.
Here are a few of the things that were in Santa's sack (lol) this year:
All of these candles are from my mum and her partner, Matt. Except the Yankee Candle, which was from my boyfriend, Tom.
Prosecco candle - Aldi
Penguin candle - Face2Body
'Be Marry and Bright' candle - TK Maxx
Holiday Magic Yankee Candle
'C' candle - ASDA

Vanilla candle in silver pot - B & M
Blue/silver candle - Tesco

Thanks Mummy and Matt! I loved everything.
Around midday Tom came over and we exchanged presents.
He bought me the Hugo Boss 'Woman Extreme' perfume.
The Zara perfume was from my dad and his partner. Both smell lovely.
The boyf also got me a coat, how risky of him! Paid off though because I lurveee it.
He also bought me a waterfall style dressing gown, colouring book, the candle I mentioned earlier and some cute bear socks.
Thank you Tom x
Dad's House
When Tom had gone back home and we had eaten Christmas dinner, my dad picked me and Jack up to go to his house. As we pulled up I noticed a car I didn't recognise on the drive. I asked 'whose car is that?', assuming it would be someone visiting, but my dad didn't answer and just stopped the car in front of the drive. The professional cardboard note read in green:
'To Charlotte
Merry Christmas
Love From
Daddy and Lorraine'
And I was like holy wtf are they having a laugh. Usually I work out surprises because people drop hints or ask really weird questions and give it away, but I was honestly so shocked and had no idea. Not only that but apparently they've had the car for ages too and have just been hiding it. I'm such a lucky girl, thanks Dad and Lorraine (Dad's wife)!
I also drove round with that bow on which was definitely not distracting when it blew up in front of the windscreen.
Note: If I knew I was getting a car and was about to have a load of photos taken, I would have put makeup on, put contacts in and not worn a massive reindeer jumper. The hat would have stayed.
Dad and Lorraine also got me these lovely lovely Kurt Geiger boots. <3 i="">3>
And the body shop bauble.
The Molton Brown bauble was from my bosses at work.
It was Baby Warren's first Christmas too.
This is my step-sister's baby and he is too cute not to get a mention.
Look at that face.
Loooook.
When at my Dad's, Jack told us he had bought us all tickets to see School of Rock the Musical in London for Christmas.
Cheers brah.
After opening our presents from dad and giving out ours to them, we went to visit family at my Uncle's house. We saw two of my uncles, my auntie, my nanna and my cousins (Harry isn't actually that tall, he's stood on something).
My uncle and auntie (and family) bought me bracelets the exact same colour without knowing. We clearly all have similar tastes!
Thanks guys!
Boxing Day
My auntie, my grandad and my three youngest cousins came over for brunch and to gift exchange. A full English was devoured, which was top notch, thanks to my mother.
Tom then came round to skank some of the breakfast and to watch a film after his shift at work.
This happened.
And he didn't watch the film.
Some more family and friends came over in the evening and we played that 'who am I/name game' thing (post it notes on the head, you know the one). That was interesting. There were several arguments about whether clues should be given. I had Keith Lemon on my head, and I gave Jack Adolf Hitler. Obviously.
We then played family fortunes which was well... Here's a few legit quotes from the night:
'Name a superpower that people would want most' - 'Swimming'.
'Something you say instead of bye' - 'Bonjour'.
'Name a European Capital City' - 'Germany' - 'What's the Capital City of Germany?' - 'Helsinki'.
'What's open 24 hours a day' - 'Roads'.
I mean sure it makes sense but wow who even thinks of that?
The day after me and brojangles took my new coat and car out for another spin (to my Dad's house).
And that was pretty much my festive activities.
Hope you all had a fab time!
Happy Holidays
